Draft Statement: I'm creating an otherworldly place that uses the familiarity of Earthly nature and twists it into something new. This world is documented through the journal and works of an explorer who does not belong there. The works showcase what they come across as they are forced to venture through all different terrain to find a way home. These works aim to tell a story through the eyes of another. The oil pastels provide a unique texture and blends very well for these works.

OG Statement: I am creating glimpses into a world that's being documented through drawings created by a lost explorer who doesn't belong there. I am warping the familiar nature seen on Earth to make the works feel otherworldly and whimsical. These are created using oil based colored pencil on paper.
